About the Speaker:

Davis Chiu
Davis is a senior manager in Deloitte’s Global Investment and Innovation Incentives practice based in Vancouver. His specialty is on the technical side of the scientific research and experimental development claim preparation and defence, focusing on pulp and paper mills, forest products, mining, clean tech, oil and gas and other heavy industries. He has extensive experience claiming shop floor R&D including experimental production and pilot plants. Davis has over 15 years of combined experience in advanced research and operational management.


Brendan Cooper
Brendan has been working with companies of all sizes to develop government incentives strategies, for over 10 years. He takes a fulsome approach that considers programs, including: R&D Tax Credits, direct funding programs, and incentives geared towards job creation and foreign direct investment attraction.


Giuliana Ambrosini
Giuliana has worked in indirect taxes for last 10 years. She has helped countless large, medium and small enterprises and non-profits assess the impact of indirect taxes, such as GST, PST, and carbon taxes on their operations. She advises on transactional issues, assists clients in GST and PST audits, and helps organizations recover GST and PST. Giuliana has experience in assisting organizations in a variety of industries, including retail, manufacturing, construction, mining, and forestry, as well as governments and non-profits.
