In my short presentation, I will talk about market intelligence and why it is critical to anyone developing products and services or trying to remain competitive in an existing market. No marketing, strategy or market research expertise required to attend - this presentation is geared for everyone. I will be talking about real-world examples from my own work - all of which will be related to companies involving engineering challenges and opportunities. By the end of my presentation, attendees will have practical examples of market intelligence practices that they can use right away in their own company or practice. There will also be a Q&A period at the end of the presentation.

Aaron Cruikshank is the President of CTRS - a market intelligence firm based in Vancouver. Since 2003, his company has helped over 500 organizations leverage market intelligence and research to improve KPIs, obtain and retain funding, and create successful and actionable strategies. Notable clients include Bosch, Nintendo, BC Hydro, FortisBC, Bosa Properties, NRC-IRAP and hundreds of technology startups. Aaron has also been involved in the tech commercialization industry for the last 20 years, is a long-standing judge and mentor through New Ventures BC and is currently an Entrepreneur in Residence with Foresight - BC's Cleantech Accelerator.
