Engineering Processes from Concept to Production Case Study: Universal Studios – The Newest Ride
Sat Jan 19 2019 22:00:00 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time)
Practicing engineering based on Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC)’s guidelines and requirements has always been a challenge for many engineers including new immigrants and young engineers. The challenge becomes even more significant when working in an environment in which the best practice is not taken seriously. In this presentation, we will review the engineering processes based on EGBC’s guidelines and best engineering practices. For the audience to better relate to the concepts discussed in the presentation, demonstration of the design and construction of the electrical and control systems of the newest rides in the Universal Studios’ amusement parks (planned to start in 2020) is included in this presentation.
Location:
New Delbrook Community Recreation Center - Maple Room 851 West Queens Road North Vancouver, British Columbia V7N 4E3
