Hydrogen’s Role in Canada’s Energy System

Please join the Iranian Engineers of BC Association (IEBCA) in an informative in-person presentation by Sabina Russell, P.Eng. from HTEC. The presentation is in English, and members of Engineers and Geoscientists BC may claim 1 Continuing Education (CE) Hour for attending this event.

This presentation will discuss the opportunities and challenges of introducing hydrogen at scale into Canada’s energy system. Hydrogen production pathways, end use applications, and current activities in Canada will be discussed. The presentation will focus on domestic uses of hydrogen, including the mobility sector where hydrogen offers unique decarbonization potentials. The audience will come away with a broad understanding of why hydrogen is essential to Canada achieving net-zero.
