Innovation Adoption in The Construction Industry - Things to Think About
Sat Sep 24 2022 21:00:00 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time)
Please join the Iranian Engineers of BC Association (IEBCA) in an informative in-person presentation by Puyan A. Zadeh from University of British Columbia (UBC). The presentation is in English, and members of Engineers and Geoscientists BC may claim 1 Continuing Education (CE) Hour for attending the event.
Adoption of any innovation can not only provide valuable benefits to projects and organizations but it also can potentially lead to massive disruptions and risks. Considering the fact that not all projects and organizations can have the same benefits of certain Innovations, it is essential to know the potential benefits, and how to assess the impact of any innovation adoption before making a major decision. In this talk, Dr. Zadeh will discuss the impacts of innovation adoption on individual practitioners, construction organizations, and construction projects. By providing different practical examples from the construction industry, he will highlight important key factors related to innovation adoption. With this talk, the audience should be better prepared to approach new innovation with a clear assessment roadmap introduced by the speaker.
