Please join the Iranian Engineers of BC Association (IEBCA) in an informative in-person presentation by Mehran Jamshidi from EffiCert Academy. The presentation is in English and members of Engineers and Geoscientists BC may claim 1 Continuing Education (CE) Hour for attending the event.
According to the Project Management Institute (PMI), projects are temporary endeavors to deliver something unique. During a project’s life cycle, there may be several uncertainties that, if they arise, will impact the project’s objectives. It is essential that project managers proactively plan ways to manage their projects’ risks productively and reasonably. The purpose of this session is to provide a brief overview of the concept of Risk Management and discuss ways in which we can plan, analyze, respond to, and monitor risks in project environments.

About the Speaker:
Mehran Jamshidi, PMP

Mehran Jamshidi, PMP is an experienced professional, educational leader, researcher, educator, and project manager with 20+ years’ experience in academia and professional development, training, and project environments. Presently, Mehran is the Department Head (Project Management), and a faculty member at Vancouver Community College (VCC). He also teaches at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), University of Canada West, and the New York Institute of Technology, and he leads his project management consulting firm, Efficert Academy. He is a past Senior Project Manager at TELUS, working with the Coaching and Learning Solutions team on several critical initiatives. Mehran has been an active member of the Canadian West Coast Chapter (CWCC) of the Project Management Institute (PMI) since November 2014. Having served as the President of the PMI CWCC from 2020 to 2022, as well as the Vice President of Education and a board member for five years, he is now serving as the Past President.
