Visit Canada's Non-Combat shipbuilder to get a firsthand look at the most modern shipyard of its kind in North America and the first large Coast Guard ship to be built in Canada in a generation. Facility demonstrations, win a trip to the top of Big Blue, children’s crafts and much more. Fun for the whole family! This is a FREE event. Capacity is limited - Each attendee must be registered individually for this event. Parking is also limited and offered on a first come, first serve basis: Parking is available at 10 & 50 Pemberton Avenue, as well as Lot K and Lot F along McKeen Avenue. Limited parking is also available along First Avenue. A shuttle will be available every half hour from 9:30 am - 2 pm to pick up/drop off attendees on the southeast corner of Pemberton/First Avenue and Lot K. All those wishing to attend must RSVP in advance and bring government-issued photo identification (for example drivers license, passport, BC services card, etc...). All minors (under 18 years of age) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Any bags/purses guests bring into the facility are subject to inspection. Rain or shine - This is an outdoor event - Please dress weather appropriate and wear flat soled, closed toed shoes.
